Staffing and Recruitment
Staffing and Recruitment coordinates, evaluates, and advises on activities associated with the University’s recruitment processes.
In partnership with departmental administrators and hiring managers, Staffing and Recruitment ascertains the University’s non-academic permanent and temporary staffing needs and develops strategies by:
- providing consultative services regarding recruitment efforts and salary decisions;
- advertising positions, attending job fairs, conducting phone screenings and applicant interviews, and conducting assessments of applicants’ skills;
- identifying potential applicants for a position through networking and online resources;
- communicating University employment-related policies and procedures, and
- providing training on employment matters.

Staffing and Recruitment is available to assist departments with the following:
- consulting on advertising jobs;
- performing telephone screens;
- conducting preliminary interviews;
- conducting testing of applicants’ skills through online system;
- providing training; and
- consulting on diversifying applicant pools, including those identified as underutilized for women and minorities.
