Employee Relations

Employee Relations advises and collaborates with managers, employees, and HR staff to develop effective staff-related policies and procedures and to ensure compliance with applicable law and the University's goals and policies.

We support the University community by providing services in the following areas:

  • Developing, interpreting, and applying staff-related policies;
  • Advancing HR staff and supervisors through workshops, legal updates, and educational materials;
  • Advising and coaching HR staff on staff-related matters such as performance, corrective action, leaves of absence, layoffs, and separations;
  • Responding to requests for disability accommodation;
  • Investigating and responding to formal and informal complaints, and
  • Assisting with compliance initiatives.
